Laser Marking and Engraving
Mid Kansas Machine provides fiber laser marking, engraving, and CO2 laser engraving for permanent part identification and selected light-cutting applications. Our shop has two laser systems: one LaserEvo Gold Line fiber laser marker with rotary-axis capability and one Boss Laser LS-1416 CO2 laser cutter and engraver.
Applications include permanent part numbers on medical and industrial components. Material response varies by grade, composition, finish, coating, geometry, and marking requirements, so we review each project before selecting the appropriate laser process.

Part identification
MKM provides permanent, non-contact part identification for eligible medical and industrial components. Marking method, depth, contrast, corrosion resistance, and cleaning requirements are confirmed from the customer’s drawing and material specification.
Material selection
The fiber laser is suited to metals, selected plastics, and painted, coated, or anodized surfaces. The CO2 laser is suited to selected nonmetal materials and coated-metal marking.
