Water Jet Cutting
Mid Kansas Machine provides CNC water jet cutting with one OMAX 60120 system for metals, alloys, carbide, stone, fiberglass, wood, rubber, gasket material, and other conductive and nonconductive materials. Because water jet cutting does not rely on heat to make the cut, it produces no heat-affected zone.
The machine accommodates standard 5 × 10 ft stock. Manufacturer-rated X/Y cutting travel is 10 ft 6 in. × 5 ft 2 in., with 8 in. of Z-axis travel. Material up to 8 in. thick may be considered depending on material, geometry, fixturing, and required edge quality. The manufacturer’s linear positional accuracy and repeatability rating is ±0.001 in. Achievable finished-part tolerance depends on material, thickness, geometry, edge quality, and machine setup.
