Milling Services
Mid Kansas Machine operates 11 milling machines: six CNC vertical machining centers and five manual mills. We provide milling for one-off parts, short runs, and production work across carbon and alloy steels, tool steels, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum, brass, copper, nickel alloys, and engineered plastics.
Our milling capabilities include high-feed machining and FeatureCAM Vortex toolpaths for efficient material removal, controlled tool loads, and consistent part quality. Several of our machining centers also support 4-axis work.
MILLING EQUIPMENT AND CAPABILITIES
Our CNC and manual milling equipment supports precision components, large workpieces, and production applications. Typical milling tolerance is plus or minus 0.003 inch, depending on the material, part geometry, size, and setup.

Materials and large-part work
We machine carbon and alloy steels, tool steels, stainless steel, cast iron, Hastelloy, Inconel, aluminum, brass, copper, and engineered plastics. MKM can evaluate large workpieces up to 72 × 72 × 72 inches and long plate work up to 6 × 20 × 240 inches, depending on fixturing, repositioning, and part geometry.
